Hello, I’m Alexis (she/her)! My job is to walk with you on your journey to the change you are looking for. I believe that therapy should be a space where you can share openly without the fear of judgement, knowing that what you share will be met with empathy. I enjoy supporting individuals, teens, and couples through life changes, navigating what they want for their future. I am a passionate supporter of the LGBTQ+ community and TGNC individuals, serving as a clinical consultant for the Pride Center.

In our work together, I will take a collaborative approach, wanting to learn more about what it is like to walk in your shoes. I believe that I have a toolbox full of helpful tools, but I need to know more about you, your life, and your strengths before I will know what tools will be the most helpful. I most commonly use Narrative Therapy, Collaborative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help create change. Every client is unique and as such I work hard to ensure that the work we do together is right for you. I am a lifelong learner and am always continuing to grow and add more tools to my toolbox. I am also trained as a brief therapist which means I will hold the hope that change can come at any time. Whether you are looking for a long-term therapist or just someone to help you for a brief time, I am happy to provide the support you are looking for.

In my mission to become a therapist, my goal was to learn as much as I could to be helpful. I started with my bachelor’s in psychology from UT Austin where I minored in Mexico American/Latino studies, wanting to learn more about how I could use my privilege to advocate for others. Then, I pursued my master’s in psychology with a concentration in marriage and family therapy at Our Lady of the Lake University. During my time at OLLU, I received the mentorship and training that shaped how I work as a therapist. Through internships, I have been honored to serve individuals, couples, and families at the Community Counseling Service, Transplants for Children, Driggers Elementary School, and Alivio Psychological Services.

If you have read this far and feel that I may be a good fit for you, please reach out! I offer free consultations for us to meet each other and make sure that I am a good fit. I strive to create a warm and welcoming space for all of my clients and want to make sure that you feel comfortable with me before we begin working together.
