Hey, I’m Kelsey (she/her)!

I believe that you are the expert of your own life. My job isn’t to dictate your journey, but to collaborate with you, pull from my therapeutic toolbox, and tailor our sessions so you feel truly supported, seen, and heard. I approach therapy from a systemic, strengths-based, and culturally humble lens. Whether you need a space that is gentle and reflective or direct and solution-oriented, I aim to show up how you need me to. We’ll even use humor when appropriate, because therapy can be uplifting and sometimes even fun. You deserve to leave sessions feeling lighter when possible, equipped, and empowered to navigate whatever life throws at you.

I specialize in working with couples, partnerships of all structures, individuals, and youth ages 10 and up. I’m passionate about creating an affirming, accommodating, and trauma-informed space for LGBTQ+ individuals and partnerships, neurodivergent/ADHD folks, and families or intergenerational groups (like parents and grandparents with tweens and teens). While sessions are conducted in English, I’m always comfortable incorporating Spanglish for clients who express themselves best that way. As a registered Twogether in Texas practitioner, I also love working with partners preparing for marriage (aka premarital counseling). This premarital work helps partners build a strong foundation while earning a discount on their Texas marriage license.

In addition to my clinical training, I am an ordained clergy person. Because of this background, I hold a deep understanding of religious and spiritual dynamics, including the painful ones.  As a queer clergywoman, I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals who are navigating spiritual or religious trauma, those deconstructing their faith, or anyone interested in exploring, or intentionally setting aside, spirituality in therapy. Wherever you fall on that spectrum, you will find an open and welcoming space with me. It’s not my job to tell you what to believe, just to hold space for working with your spirituality if that is something you want to invite into our work together.

If any of this is resonating with you, please reach out. I offer free consultations for us to meet each other and make sure that we are a good fit. My goal is to ensure that you are comfortable and have the opportunity to ask any questions you might have before we begin our work together.
